Oltre alle interviste ad esperti, che ne illustrano gli effetti sugli ecosistemi e sulla salute umana, il film utilizza materiale d’archivio per ripercorrere i legami tra industria petrolifera e produzione della plastica, con la conseguente invasione di quest’ultima nella nostra vita quotidiana.
