13-year-old Rodrigo is a solitary teenager who finds solace in his intimate relationship with his mother, Valeria. She is his best friend, his protector, and his entire world. When her new boyfriend comes to live in their small house on the outskirts of Mexico City, however, Rodrigo finds his domain completely disrupted. He must decide if he should accept his new family or fight back and hurt the person he loves the most.

Città del Messico. Rodrigo, tredici anni, vive con la madre Valeria da quando questa si è separata dal marito. Il loro è un rapporto molto stretto che per il ragazzo subisce un incrinatura dal momento in cui il nuovo compagno di Valeria inizia ad abitare sotto lo stesso tetto. Tra di loro un buon rapporto sarebbe possibile ma Rodrigo non sembra esservi interessato.

Best Audience Fiction: Summer White. It’s an anthem to youth, made up by young filmmakers. The use of natural sounds like car horns makes the movie very lively and impactful. Mexico City is a fiery and lively labyrinth where the principal characters are not the narcotraffickers but the colors, the lights that invade the movie. The little details, the lights game make the movie an awesome work wrapped in a dark and silent atmosphere that definitely deserves more than a vision… (comment from the audience)
